Insurance:
Currently most of companies like their staff to be insured for medical emergencies.
If the premium has been paid up to date and the medical investigation/procedure is covered by the policy any person can claim a reimbursement from the insurance company. In many cases the patient pays the bills and then claims the amount. As the cost of medical treatment is high, the insurance companies are offering cashless transactions at recognized hospitals for patients with valid insurance policy. These cashless transactions are carried out through a Third Party Administrators (TPA), appointed by the insurance company, to co-ordinate with the hospital.
The hospital has to be recognised by the TPA for the patient to avail the cashless facility. The Vivus - BMJ Heart Centre is registered with all the top TPA's across the country (see the list below).
